Scuba diving is nothing but swimming underwater while using self-contained breathing equipment. By carrying a source of compressed air, the scuba diver is able to stay underwater longer than with the simple breath-holding techniques and is not hindered by air-lines to a remote air source. MTDC has also planned a scuba center at Tarkarli, after complition centre to offer introductory and advance courses for the tourists.
The minimum age is 10 yrs, so bring your kids along too and let them experience diving as well. Explore the Sargassum forest, corals, vast diversity and abundant colourful fish among underwater rocks cape! This Program includes a little basic theory, a few exercises in shallow water and one not-so-deep dive with an experienced instructor.

Jet Skiing is regarded as the ultimate Water sport for speed lovers. It is one of the most thrilling water sports activities amongst all the other water sports. Jet Skiing is done by sitting on a machine, which can be accelerated by using an accelerator. A machine runs this Ski. The engine that is used in this Ski is very powerful so it can be run on much higher speeds. The name of this skiing comes from this only. The Jet Skis differ from place to place. Jet Skis that are available are powered at 100-135 horsepower. Though it has such a powerful engine still the machine has very simple features and is very easy to use. The machine is completely balanced from all aspects, however, one needs to take care and follow the instructions that are given by the operators. Generally the instructors make a pre-defined area in which they do the Jet Skiing. To avoid accidents Jet skies are not provided directly to the tourists. Banana Boat Ride

Banana boat rides is one of the most fun-filled water sport activities in Devbag. The banana boat comprises of an inflatable boat, which is shaped like a banana, which is attached to a motor boat. It can seat approximately 4-6 people.

Once everyone is seated in the boat, the boat takes off in water. As soon as the motor boat sprints into the water, the boat will toss away the passengers into the water. The funniest thing is that you will find yourself thrown into the water just when you leave the beach and enter the water. After being flung into the water, the passengers will have to pull themselves back into the banana boat.

Para-sailing in Devbaug

Parasailing at Tarkarli beach, also known as parascending, or “parakiting” is a recreational kiting activity where a person is towed behind a vehicle (usually a boat) while attached to a specially designed canopy wing that reminds one of a parachute, known as a parasail wing. The manned kite‘s moving anchor may be a car, truck, or boat. The harness attaches the pilot to the parasail, which is connected to the boat, or land vehicle, by the tow rope. The vehicle then drives off, carrying the parascender (or wing) and person into the air. If the boat is powerful enough, two or three people can parasail behind it at the same time. The parascender has little or no control over the parachute. The activity is primarily a fun ride, not to be confused with the sport of paragliding.

There are commercial parasailing operations all over the world. Land-based parasailing has also been transformed into a competition sport in Europe. In land-based competition parasailing, the parasail is towed to maximum height behind a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The driver then releases the tow line; the parasailer flies down to a target area in an accuracy competition. The sport was developed in the early 80’s and has been very popular ever since. The first international competitions were held in the mid 80’s and continue to this day.
